I am sifting through old Korean and Nam war collections for M37 pictures. I’ve found a lot of them in the background and are unlabeled. So unless you go through them all nobody will ever see them.

Anyhoo I saw this being loaded on the Coral Sea, never heard of this.

“Ford Mustang “Lawman” arriving on the USS Coral Sea in Vietnam. Only two of these “Lawman” Super BOSS 429 Mustangs were ever made by Ford for tours to U.S. troops stationed in Vietnam, Japan, Guam, Hawaii, & Mainland military bases. It’s the only BOSS 429 Mustang that’s automatic in the world,1200 horsepower, runs a quarter mile in 8.4 seconds at 185mph.”

Sweet Jesus indeed. That’s 3 times all the vehicles I own combined.

Yea-no. those numbers are greatly exagerated. If it was the best 429 of the era, it may be in the 600 hp range. Et would have been low 10's-125 mph. I remember seeing that pic in an old Hot Rod magazine.

Edit: Read some more. The car had a blower on it-so it would have had (some) more HP. It never raced. It was more of a show display vehicle. http://www.mustangandfords.com/featured-vehicles/mump-0811-1970-mustang-boss-429-lawman/
